【News】Youth in Japan and Germany stage protests to appeal to G7 leaders for a faster coal phase-out
On June 22, youth in Germany and Japan joined together to protest the Japanese government’s blockage of a commitment to a concrete coal-fired power phase-out date in G7 negotiations. In Germany, youth protested in front of the Japanese Embassy in Berlin, while in Japan local residents and youth gathered in front of the construction site of the Yokosuka coal-fired power plant.
