Additional Informaton:(Tentative)Chiba-Sodegaura LNG – fired POwer Plant Project

Previously, Tokyo Gas, Kyushu Electric Power, and Idemitsu Kosan had a plan to build a coal-fired power plant in Sodegaura City, Chiba Prefecture, but they abandoned that project due to the ballooning cost of environmental measures. Now, a plan to construct a LNG power plant on the same site has come out at the end of July. Tokyo Gas announced to carry out the plan on its own, and its subsidiary, Chiba Sodegaura Power, begun public inspection of environmental impact assessment (EIA) documents on July 27. Comments on this EIA document can be submitted until Sunday, September 10.
