●IGCC Nakoso
Banpu Power Public Company Limited (BPP) in Thailand indirectly held a 13.4% stake (equivalent to 73 MW) in Nakoso IGCC Power Plant G.K., which operates the 543 MW Nakoso IGCC power plant (Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture). However, BPP reported that it has sold its stake in accordance with the company’s low carbon power generation policy. The company information of IGCC Nakoso is not accessible, and the current shareholders and their ratio of shares cannot be confirmed.

●Nippon Paper
Nippon Paper Industries has announced that it will significantly reduce its GHG emissions by shutting down one coal boiler at its Ishinomaki Mill (Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture) and converting the fuel from coal to black liquor (biomass). The government will provide up to 18.3 billion yen of the 55.5 billion yen investment. Nippon Paper is scheduling to begin in the 4Q of FY2028.
