Japan Beyond Coal database update:
As of July 1, 172 coal-fired power units are currently operating in Japan since 2 new units, Yokosuka Unit 1 and Saijo Unit 1, started commercial operation on June 30.
Operating: 172 Units
Planned (including under construction): 2 Units
Retired: 3 Units
