  • New environmental impact assessment (EIA)
    ENEOS Power began the environmental impact assessment process for a 750 MW LNG-fired power plant it plans to build in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. On Monday, May 12, it submitted the “(Tentative) Ogimachi Natural Gas Power Plant project, Document on Primary Environmental Impact Consideration” to the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the Governor of Kanagawa Prefecture, the Mayor of Kawasaki City, and the Mayor of Yokohama City.

    Output: Approximately 750 MW
    Schedule (planned): Construction to begin in the first half of 2029, operation to commence in the first half of 2033
