<Database Update at November 4>

Since the Chugoku Electric Power started commercial operation of the Misumi Power Station Unit 2 on November 1, JBC updated its database.

Current status of coal-fired power plants in Japan : (as of November 4)

Operating: 169 Units
Planned (including under construction): 5 Units
Retired: 3 Units

According to the release, Misumi Power Station Unit 2, capacity 1,000MW with USC, co-combust coal and approximately 10% biomass for its generation.
